Last week I attended a Stake Women's Leadership Training Meeting. We were spiritually fed to overflowing. I would like to make note of a few key points I would like to remember.
Sister Olsen - San Diego Temple Matron
The sisters are ministering angels. Ministering angels are women who urge the priesthood to do thier duties.
True joy is found in interactions with other people. If we want joy in our hearts we must forget ourselves and reach out to others. Don't wait for someone to call. If the spirit prompts, go to them and serve them.
3 Nephi 17: Ministry needs to be one on one to meet the needs of the individual.
Obedience to the gospel plan is the only way to have a Christlike life. If our hearts are prepared, the Holy Ghost will infuse blessings into our lives.
Sometimes the Spirit sends us somewhere without directions. We don't know what we are to do until we follow the prompting to go.

2 Nephi 25:23 "Men are that they might have joy"
I am a Daughter of Heavenly Father who LOVES Me and I LOVE Him
We need faith to rule out fear. Moses saw Hell when he felt fear and lacked in faith.
Perfect means to make whole or complete. I can only do the best that I can do and then the grace of Christ makes up the difference. At the judgement, the Lord will ask for our heart.
Happiness is a choice. We get to choose how we feel about situations. We fill our lives with so many "good" things that we lose sight of the essential things.
She talked about the story in Ether about the vessels and how tight they were. Then she talked about how the Brother of Jared received direction from the Lord on how to get air in the vessels and how the Brother of Jared had to think about how to get the light in the vessels and this was how he saw the finger of the Lord. Then she went on to talk about how this is not the end of the story. The journey is very important. They got into the vessels and then the Lord "CAUSED" a ferocious wind. Without the ferocious wind they would not have been able to get to the promised land, their destination. The ferocious winds made the journey difficult but without them they would not have gotten where they needed to go. She likened this to how we all have adversity to help us learn and grow. It is difficult and painful at times, but without it, we cannot make it to our ultimate destination. To live with our Heavenly Father.
I am glad I went to the meeting and that the Lord provided these wonderful women to deliver such a spiritual feast. It truly was magnificent.
