New Week Working

I haven't weighed in and won't weigh again until this Friday. However, I just want to report that the weekend went well. Kept moving and I ate very good. Actually I did not eat hardly at all which I guess isn't good but I was very busy. I did really well on my food yesterday and so far today. Yesterday I doubled the lunchtime walk. I call it my Medium walk. Next week I hope to add the last part of the walk. I call that my Long walk.

My body feels good. I just have to keep at it. It is hard sometimes but I think about my first goal of trying to be under 300 lbs before my birthday. That is my birthday present to myself this year. I haven't been under 300 for many years now and I am looking forward to it.

New Bishopric

Our ward had a change in leadership on Sunday. It was sad to see our bishop released because we love him so very much but I know that he has served us and the Lord well. He now gets a break from that calling. It was awesome to have our Stake President come and address us. First he explained some things about the differences between the setting apart of a bishop and the ordination of a bishop. He also told us the process of getting a new bishop. It was very interesting. Especially that a bishop has to be approved by the 1st Presidency and Quorem of 12 apostles. WOW!!!! Then he read some excerpts from the handbook. Then he released our bishopric and we were able to sustain a new bishopric. I will support and sustain them. They are called of the Lord to serve us and I know they are awesome men with wonderful families. I am so grateful that the Lord has a plan for everything. He truly is in charge of and leads our church on the earth.

Saturday is a special day

Saturday was an amazing day! First I got to spend the morning with my mister and we went to Wal-Mart and then came home and did some yarden work together. Our trees are shedding (dropping leaves) and it is hard to keep up when I only have Saturday until the evenings stay light for a while. It is a lot of fun. Then at 3:45 I hopped in the car and picked up a full car to travel to the Temple. First off I rode with some amazing sisters. I am so amazed at the burdens they are carrying and yet they are so strong in the gospel. Then the Stake Temple day was a delight. We had a lot of people there and some very spiritual experiences happened to me that I will carry deep in my heart for always. I felt the spirit so strong, learned a lot, and had some things confirmed for me. It was a Special Special Day!

Four Pounds Down... Too many to post here to go

I am so proud of myself!!! I lost 4 pounds this week. I am feeling a lot better about myself. It always amazes me that when I am not eating heavy food, my body actually feels lighter. Anyway, I need to go do a lap around the building!!! YEAH ME!!!!!

Beautiful Nature

I was walking with my friend at lunch yesterday and we were complaining to each other about some work related issues. All of a sudden she stopped and looked up and said WOW!!! I stopped and was just in time to see the egret that lives near our work take flight. It was so beautiful and we have never seen it fly before. I have to remind myself to let the worldly cares go and enjoy the beautiful nature and Heavenly Father's creations when I am on a break! I might have missed this and the miracle of nature if my friend hadn't noticed, simply because I was in a negative place in my heart. Good lesson I hope I learned.

Chasing her tail

I need to put this on my blog before I forget.....Mini Moo was sitting in the hallway on Sunday morning. We were still in bed talking and enjoying the fact that church is now at 1 p.m. She kept looking at us like she wanted us to play. She got bored with us and started playing with her tail. She actually chased it and pretended to catch it and pounch on it and it was soooooo funny!!! After a few times of this she finally decided it needed a bath and started bathing beginning with her tail. It was too cute and we were laughing out loud. Hee Hee Hee
