Sister Visit

We had such a wonderful time with skinny sis and family. They came to church and I could not stop smiling. It was fun. Then we came home and had lunch, made cookies, and just enjoyed chatting and getting caught up on hugs and such. Too much fun. The kids are a delight and it was fun watching them get to know their Uncle. He was having fun too! He told me later that he could totally see why I am always talking about the littlest one. She is so very cute. Of course when I was hugging her good bye it dawned on me that the next time I see her, she will be out of diapers. Of course I cried..... After the Mamoth left my sight we went back in the house. We had told the children they did not have to clean up. They are on vacation after all. When my sweetheart and I got upstairs prepared for clean up project, my jaw dropped to the floor. Those children had almost every single item back in its proper spot. Basically the only things left were those things they did not know where they belonged in the first place. They are a delight.

#1 got to talk to her Uncle and Myself until I think she is completely talked out. Hello fellow twilighter

#2 Getting so big. Thank you for helping so much with the little ones. It was nice getting to know you better. Next time you will be taller than dad.

#3 Thank you for the awesome cat made out of pipe cleaners. I have glued a magnet and it is now on the refridgerator. Your talent is too good for words.

#4 Hello fellow reader. You are such a beautiful young lady. I love to hear you laugh and see your bright smile. Keep me posted on your plant.

#5 You have such a light in your eyes that is awesome. You are also a little bit mischievious. I can totally relate. I love the pink braces and the trick you did with the magnets.

#6 Sorry little Joe didn't come out to play for you. I am glad you got to see him. I will watch and see if I can get a picture. I am glad you found so many "treasures".

#7 My little monkey. You are just plain and simply a delight. I am not sure where you put all of the cookies but I am glad you enjoyed them. It was fun seeing you and hugging you again. You make me smile :-)

#8 The baby. What can I say to the little cutie pie. You are talking so much and it was funny hearing you say "pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza, etc." when it was time for dinner. I was touched when you said "Goodbye Auntie Nee". See you soon and no more diapers.

As you can see they all have separate little personalities. It was a joy. I look forward to seeing you all again.

New Shoes

What a difference a pair of shoes can make. In March of this year I bought a Big Chain Store pair of tennis shoes for $11. Now I absolutely love this Big Chain Store. It is my favorite place to shop. They are awesome and I bought the shoes because they were such an awesome deal. Now I am a pretty big person and I wore a few holes in my shoes. I felt like I was walking on an angle. My legs have been very achy and I have not been liking to walk because of the pain. I just thought it was my weight. Well in Laughlin they have an outlet store for a name brand tennis shoe. I was talked into buying a pair. Very reasonably priced for this name brand but still nowhere near the $11 mark. Within a few minutes I could TOTALLY tell the difference. Within an hour the pain in my left leg was completely gone, my limp was gone and my sciatic pain had moved from all the way down my right leg to just down to my knee. What a relief. I can walk almost pain free. All it took was a good pair of walking shoes. WOW! Who knew? I LOVE these shoes and wish I could get a pair disguised as dress shoes for church and work. I will have to see what I can do about that!

Laughlin Zoo

Did you know that Laughlin has a zoo? Well they don't technically have a zoo but here is what we saw in one evening on our river walk. We were on the river "boardwalk" if you will. Looking down to the river we usually just see the beautiful ducks and sucker fish. Huge fish. Looks like they are 2 to 3 feet in length. Anyway we look and there are all these people gathered around. There was a family of raccoons. Mommy had two babies and then there were two males one smaller than the other. The smaller one kept growling at the bigger one. The bigger one was too busy standing on his back feet and begging for food. Actually came all the way up to the railing. He looked at us and then turned around and walked down the rocks back to the river. He actually swam to where the ducks were when he thought they were getting more bread than he was. Then he came on shore and left little raccoon foot and hand prints. It was adorable. We walked with the mommy for a while after she left. There was also a skunk family at the river. The raccoons and skunks just live and let live and don't bother each other. There was a cat under the bridge and he was so cute. Black with little white paws. Then there was an otter. He swam to shore came on shore and then turned around and swam away. Guess he was doing his excercise laps. Then what with people watching and we had a grand time at the Laughlin zoo!!!

Home again safe and sound

We had a Marvelous time in Laughlin with Mom and Dad S. They now have pantry shelves, fridge and freezers full and more. So this time we are sure that they will have enough until our next visit in April 2010. We had a lot of fun walking walking and more walking. We felt like pioneer children at the end of the week. We laughed a lot and talked until we could talk no more. It was nice and as with all nice and wonderful things, the time flew by and ended way too soon for all of us. Mini Moo was a trooper. She did not "get even" as some cats will and is just wanting lots of lovies. She is a wonderful pet and friend. She laid on my lap this afternoon for almost 2 hours!

Conference of answers

So I had my list of questions in my mind that I hoped and had faith would be answered during conference. The windows of heaven were truly opened and I received so much love from Heavenly Father. Every single one of my questions were answered plus many others that I did not think of until the answer was there and then I remembered so many things that I have been concerned over and pondering. It truly is a blessing to have a living prophet and to know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and leads this church. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father that knows each of us and me personally and loves us and me so very much!

Weekend of Wonderful things

This weekend was so awesome! First of all I felt better than I have in almost a month! No cold, no sinus pressure and pain and my depression lifted. I found the energy to work in my yarden! Muscles pain of that nature is a blessing to me. It makes me feel accomplished. I made a poster for Jim's birthday and decorated the house while he went to get his hair cut. It was so funny because I wasn't quite done and the garage door was opening and I ran into the craft room and scared Mini Moo so bad she started running all over then ran back into the craft room across the craft table, onto and over the window ledge, jumped over the chair. It was so funny!!! Poor thing, I scared her so bad. Wish I could have captured it on video. Anyway then I decorated the house for Halloween and Jim helped me with boxes and putting things on the upper ledge. I will try to take pictures soon and put them on the blog. Then I made 3 batches of cookies. For bosses birthdays this week and to take on our trip. It was fun.

It is good to feel alive again!

Face Book Page

So the new thing in the stake is to have a facebook page. I have now created a facebook page and I don't know what to do next. I guess it is a new thing to learn and grow at!

Even Beans Have A Season

It was a sad event at our home this evening. I picked the last 6 beans and then pulled the plants to put in the yard waste can. I have had so much fun with my beans this year that it was kind of sad to see them be done and over. There were many little inch worms on the plants. Too cute. I love worms like that! Anyway this bean season is over and now I get to move on to planting my peas and garlic. To everything there is a season. New smiles as the baby peas grow.
