Busy as a bee and flitting like a butterfly

So far this is a very busy week. Last night for FHE, I caught up on my sewing and crocheting. Tonight I watered and did some yarden work. Tomorrow night is temple night, YEAH!! I love temple night. Thursday is "Hooked on yarn". The teacher is going to teach me how to crochet the edgings of fabric like the blanket at skinny sis's house. I am excited. I would like to use that on baby bibs. Then Friday I am hoping for some yarden time. Saturday will be catch up day!! Whew! Busy as a bee and flitting like a butterfly. I LOVE IT!!!!

Finished Twilight series

So I finished the twilight books. The 4th is my favorite. It has a few iffy moments but for the most part it is awesome. I finally got to watch the movie this weekend and I can't wait to buy it for my own. I am totally hooked. Watch out Gone with the Wind I have a new fascination now.

Some time to write

Well I had a free moment to write. Not much of interest happening this week. It is a bit warm and muggy in Vista this week. The humidity makes it feel warmer than it really is. It is probably equivalent to what the wind chill factor does to the temperature in the winter time. Mini moo is starting to warm up to us and her new home. She helps me say my prayers in the morning and read my scriptures. She purrs a lot and smiles a lot. She loves to be petted. She still doesn't like to be held a lot. We are trying to let her know that it is okay to come up on our bed. She wasn't allowed in her old home and they actually had those electric shock thingies for pets on some of the rooms. At first she was really hesitant to go into new rooms as you can imagine. But now she is feeling freer to roam around. The crooked neck squash has been yummy so far and my beans are growing taller. I think I should start seeing blossoms soon. Well that is all for now.

Love you all

Twilight Addict

I just added the twilight addict blinky. I am currently reading the 4th book in the series and it is VERY HARD TO PUT IT DOWN!!!!

I am loving it.

Mini Moo

We have a new daughter named Mini Moo. She is a 4 year old cat. She was owned by a single guy. The owner's wife has not liked her since they got married a few years ago and it has been a strain on the relationship. Then they got a dog and the troubles got even worse. They moved the cat into the garage. The owner works with me and asked if we were ready for another cat. I talked to Jim and we decided to take her so she would not have to go to the shelter.

She is very beautiful. White with black spots that make her look like a little cow. That is why we are calling her Mini Moo. She had the name of Samantha before, they did not use it though. They called her cat and kitty. Hopefully she will learn her new name.

She is still a little jittery when noises occur but at least she is no longer hiding under the chairs. She actually is eating, drinking, and using her little box. We can hear her exploring at night opening cupboards and then we find the kitchen cupboards open in the morning. She is staring to warm up to us which is good because we fell in love with her from her pictures before we even met her.

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME MINI MOO!!!!

The prophet garden

Our prophet garden is small this year but we are having some fun with it. I finally planted my beans and the plants are about as big as skinny sis's actual beans are. 3 inches tall. A friend gave me some crooknecked squash plants and we cut some of the fruit and dipped it in pancake batter and then deep fried it. YUMMO!!! I have never had squash taste so good. Talk about turning something healthy into something delightfully bad for you.

Little Joe is in our garden and jumped out of the strawbery plant the other day when I was watering and scared me half to death. He is about 1 inch long. I haven't seen him since then. Hope I didn't scare him away.

Our aloe vera plants are doing well too. I need to take the babies off of one of the mother plants this week. They get big really fast.

That is all we have going right now. It is fun to play in the dirt!!!

Graduate

Tobi graduated from his program in the Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge program with a high school diploma. I am very proud of him. He will be going to Community College this fall and will be working until he is able to join the military. I had the opportunity to "meet" his girlfriend Becca on the phone. She is a real sweetheart and just entered the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. I know they will miss each other but she supported him while he was in Youth Challenge and I know he will support her through this.

GO TOBI JR!!!! GO!!!
